Q4 2023 Performance of Top Meal Kits & Specialty Foods Apps on iOS in Brazil

As the year 2023 came to a close, the performance of delivered meal kits and specialty foods applications on the iOS platform in Brazil showcased some interesting trends. Insights from Sensor Tower provide a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Vivino: Buy the Right Wine saw a consistent increase in downloads, peaking at 6.4K in the week of December 18, before a slight drop to 5.7K in the final week. Revenue also followed an upward trajectory, ending the quarter with $3.1K. Weekly active users hit a high of around 31K mid-December, with a modest dip to roughly 30K by year-end.

HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery, despite not generating revenue, exhibited growth in downloads from virtually none to 330 in the last week of December. Its active users showed a decline towards the end of October, but numbers climbed back up to over 2K by the end of the quarter.

Factor_ Prepared Meal Delivery also had no reported revenue but saw a significant surge in downloads, from just a couple to 469 by December 25. Active users increased from a few hundred to 675 in the same period, indicating growing engagement.

Green Chef: Healthy Recipes had a fluctuating download count, with a notable spike of 63 in the week of November 20, but no new downloads recorded in the first week of December. Active users for Green Chef showed a general decline, dropping to just 50 by the quarter's end.

EveryPlate: Cooking Simplified experienced modest download numbers, reaching 54 in the third week of December. The app’s active users saw an overall decrease throughout the quarter, with a slight uptick to 130 in the final week.
